Elham Rokni makes video installations and drawings that stem from her daily experience as an immigrant. Born in Iran in 1980, Elham Rokni moved to Israel at the age of nine. Her work explores an intricate, multifaceted reality, thereby challenging the boundaries of existing orders, be they physical, political or imaginary. Rokni has participated in several international film festivals and received numerous awards and grants. She graduated with honors from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, earning both a BFA and an MFA from the institution. Her works can be found in various private collections in Israel and in Europe. She lives and works in Tel Aviv.
