Ruth Hardinger is a sculptor and environmental activist. In 2013, under sponsorship of the Cooper Union Institute for Sustainable Design and as part of Marfa Dialogues/NY, she and Rebecca Smith featured their Emissions project on fugitive methane emissions in Manhattan. Her sculptures, installations and works on paper are widely exhibited, including in solo exhibitions at Sideshow Gallery, Lesley Heller Gallery, Creon Gallery and many more. She is also a member of the Board and Steering Committee of Damascus Citizens for Sustainability and a member of the Board of Franklin Furnace.
