Pavel Arsenyev is a poet, artist and theoretician. Born in 1986 in Leningrad, Arsenyev is the author of two books, That, Which Does Not Settle In the Head and Colorless Green Ideas Violently Slumber. His poems have been translated into English, Italian, Dutch, Bulgarian and Polish and have been published in poetry anthologies and Russian and foreign magazines, such as Plotki, Absent, Le Foci Della Luna and Four Seasons. He has also published articles in magazines such as New Literary Survey, The Art Journal and Political Criticism in the Chto Delat collective’s newspaper. He is editor-in-chief of the literary criticism almanac Translit and a member of the Poetry Actionism Laboratory with Roman Osminkin and Dina Gatina. He was the recipient of the Andrei Bely Literary Prize in 2012 and a stipendiary of the University of Lausanne from 2013 to 2014.
