Kareem is associate editor of Creative Time Reports. He joined Creative Time in summer 2012 after working at the Creative Capital | Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant Program and completing an MFA in Art Criticism & Writing at the School of Visual Arts. Kareem writes about contemporary art and culture for publications including Art in America, Art-Agenda, BOMB and The Brooklyn Rail. Previously, he worked as an editorial assistant at NPR’s Talk of the Nation and hosted a WNYU radio show for conceptually innovative poetry, Ceptuetics, archived at UPenn’s PennSound.
