Dan Perjovschi is a visual artist who humorously critiques politics and current events through witty phrases, cartoons, graffiti and drawings. He has had solo exhibitions around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Tate Modern, London; Kunsthalle Basel; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; and Ludwig Museum Cologne. He has also participated in group shows such as the 52nd Venice Biennale and Paris Triennial. Perjovschi received the George Maciunas Prize in 2004 and, with Lia Perjovschi, the European Cultural Foundation Princess Margriet Award in 2013.
