Barbara Arrindell is the Chair and Chief Science Officer of Damascus Citizens for Sustainability. She has had a life-long interest in sustainable and renewable energy sources as well as the environmental effects of human activities. As a founding member of DCS, she has educated national and international press and policymakers about the interlocking issues of drilling, its impacts and the politics and science responsible. Her concern stems from a deep sense of our imperiled future and alarm at the injuries being suffered by people in areas who did not take a precautionary approach as DCS did in the Delaware River Basin. Arrindell is also a successful artist in stained and leaded glass and in 2002, founded an artist-owned and run cooperative gallery in Milford, PA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from Columbia University.
